Dancers train skills like leaps, turns, kicks, and precise movement while learning how to move with control, flexibility, and confidence. Meet The Founders
Rivka Burston
Rivka grew up with a deep love for dance but had limited access to professional training while growing up in the Jewish community. When opportunities finally became available, she dedicated herself fully immersing herself in training and pursuing her passion with determination. Over the past several years, Rivka has trained in a variety of dance styles at professional studios while developing a specialty in hip-hop and street styles. She has since choreographed and taught dancers in Jewish communities around the world.
After moving to Miami, Rivka met Belinda, and through their shared passion for dance and vision for what dance education could look like in the Jewish community, the idea for Lumina was born. Together, they are excited to create a space where dancers can receive high-quality training in an environment that is professional, welcoming, and aligned with Jewish values.
Bellinda Zaret
Born in France, Belinda began dancing ballet at age 6 and later trained and performed in tap, jazz, and ballet in both France and Miami. After years of teaching, she fulfilled her dream of opening a ballet studio and creating a warm, uplifting environment where girls and women could grow in confidence, skill, and joy through dance.
Today, Belinda is excited to be part of a new vision through Lumina, bringing together her years of experience with a fresh, expanded approach to dance education that offers multiple styles and new opportunities for the community.
